I recently got this cute dress from the thrift store. I was needed something less.... over the top? and this dress has very cute fabric I could style into my regular wardrobe or wear professionally/casually...(I had a job interview). It was only 6.99usd.
Only thing is, I tried it on and it was very baggy, so to the sewing machine for a quick fix!

My mannequin is lopsided for some reason, so ignore that. But here you can see how the elastic thread that was used to give the dress some shape has completely given out. Lets fix that!

So, I shoved the dress and some elastic under my machine and crossed my fingers.

and voila! It has much better shape now and doesn't make me look like I am wearing a sack.
I can't really recommend this method, it would be better if I had thinner elastic but alas, I did not.
and seriously it looks so lop-sided in the photos... but it looks normal on my body!
