Recent sewing, updates
Lately I am really enjoying working from the Gosurori sewing books and I most recently made the belt pants from book 3. I didn't actually do any of the belts or belt loops because they weren't exactly what I wanted with this pair of pats but I am really happy with how they came out! Soon I will coordinate them and post photos here.
Just this morning I realized how in need of a new pair of bloomer I was so I whipped up a quick pair from OTS. I'm not sure which book the pattern was from but they are a perfect fit! I'm in love with them!

All of the materials used for this except for one of the types of lace I used (they small spikey one place along the top of the largest lace, which I bought online a few months ago.), were bought at a local second hand craft materials store which is so exciting as it was all very affordable but I will be able to use these often for a long time.
Thank you for reading, I'm gonna wrap it up right here for today!
Jane Marple Camisole(1998) and Cardigan(Unknown date)

It is really cute! I was very excited to receive it and I wasn't disappointed she I to them both.
The cardigan does have a bit of discoloring underneath the arms which I was aware of when I bought it.
I don't mind very much and I think I may try to re-dye the cardigan to fix it, but I don't wear cardigans often so it wasn't a big deal to me. I wanted to buy this set for the camisole anyway!

To me this camisole really was the cutest thing I had ever seen!
I absolutely adore camisoles for casual lolita looks and this one is truly too perfect!

While this top has a general feeling of wear, it has held up incredibly for its age.
The lace feels and looks pristine even after being pressed and has almost no blemishes.

This is truly a perfect top for hot summers!
Thank you for reading as always ^_^
Recent purchases - July 2022
Hello! its been a while since I posted anything here. I have been super busy with life stuff so I haven't had a lot of time to sit down and write something.
Anyways, I wanted to make a small update post about the things I have on their way to me.
Firstly; I bought this damaged Jane Marple and cut-sew tank and cardigan from lace market the other day. I had seen this tank in black on mercari or yahoo auctions a while back and made note of it as something I wanted to buy eventually so when I saw it pop up on lace market I decided to grab it! It will be a bit of work to clean the lace but I don't mind. starting the school year I will want to have some non-school projects to work on so I'm really excited! The cardigan may be past it's time but I may attempt to dye it a darker color? I will have to see when ever it arrives.

Next; I have this gorgeous sundress JSK from Physical Drop on its way! This dress is very reminiscent of the old metamorphose sundresses and I really just fell in love with it at first sight. I think it will be a super versital addition to my wardrobe! I plan to do an in depth post about it once it arrives, look forward to that please!

And lastly; I bought this cute pair of boots from Lamoda! I have never had shoes from them before so I am excited and nervous to see the fit and quality in person, I got these for rather cheap so if they end up being bad I am not risking much but its still a gamble!

anyways, that'll be all from me today. Let me know if you guys have anything on its way to you that you are excited about!
have a good day/night and thank you for reading >_<
Camp; Staying in contact
Hey yall! I leave for camp on the 29th, I’ll be gone for 5 weeks! I won’t have any cellular or internet communication; but if you want to mail me a letter, just reply and I’ll lyk the address ^_^
Summer Picnic
Today I went on a picnic with my comm, and I really enjoyed myself for the first time in a while. Not my best coordinate or anything because I was mostly focused on wearing something comfortable to sit on the ground in and that I wouldn’t mind spilling anything on (because I happen to be quite clumsy). So I ended up wearing one of my favorite old Bodyline skirts. its just a simple corset laced floral I’ve had for ages. I also made a point to wear my thinnest blouse wich was also a random cotton Bodyline one so haha repping real brands ( ̄。 ̄).

Tea Party + Antiquing
A few weeks ago I went with my grandma to get tea at a teahouse! It was lots of fun and everything tasted so good! The teahouses scones were possibly the most perfect I had ever had. They weren't to soft or to hard! I want to eat them everyday. Everything else was delicious but the other thing that was served that really stuck out to ke was their tomato sandwiches. I have always been a fiend for cucumber sandwiches but now im obsessed with tomato ones. >_<
The entire menu was as follows:
house tea
Caribbean splash tea
chicken salad sandwiches
cucumber sandwiches
tomato sandwiches
chocolate and caramel scones
blackberry jam
jalapeño peach jam
devershite cream
sugar cookies
macarons
rose mints
lemon bars
unknown chocolate pie thingy but was very yummy

I want to write some small life updates, and some upcoming events I look forward to.
First, I'll start with what I've been up to. As of just last week I have acquired the Karami JSK & head bow set in my preferred colorway (B x W)! I traded with a friend in the Old School Lolitas discord server, and I can't wait to receive it! I previously had the JSk&KC in sax and me being me I just can't stand pastels and especially not wearing them most of the time.
I also recently purchased my very first vintage yukata which I plan to wear to my cities upcoming cherry Blossom festival. The garment is from 1996 and is overall a blue-ish black color with prints of dragonflies and flowers in a neon-esque style. As for an obi I decided on a colorful floral hanhaba obi. I'm still not 100% set on it but it will do for now. In the future I think an obi with B x W polka-dots or diamonds would be very cute.
As for other upcoming events, I soon will be attending an anime convention for the first time in nearly 3 years! With the intensity of covid in the US everything has been cancelled over and over and I can't wait to be back in the atmosphere of a convention. I plan to cosplay at least one day but other than that I will likely dress comfortably. My current cosplay plan is Space Channel 5 Hatsune Miku. I would have preferred to do a cosplay of Ulala, the main character of space channel five, but I already had a wig for Miku, so I settled on that for budget reasons.
Anyways that's all from me for today, I hope everyone is having a good year as we approach the end of the first quarter of 2022 and remember to take good care of yourself! -Catherine
Feb. 2022 Sewing Plans
Heyo! Wanted to go into detail on my current sewing projects/plans for this month. these are all personal not including my commissions so i can never be to sure about if i will actually get them done but i love to talk about them either way!
first up Floppy patchwork hat inspired by ones bassist yu~ki often wears. ive always adored his style and have been craving a hat in this style for years
Next up Space Channel 39 miku cosplay! this is more of a spur of the moment cosplay for my local cons rave but im pumped about it! really hoping to figure out how to put leds into the edges and hair bits
and lastly A skirt and bolera set inspired by the outfit worn by misa in her last scene. the dress she wears in her final scene was what made me fall in love with gothic and old school lolita/ega aesthetics so much and i have wanted something like it for many years. so finally decided to get to work on my own version!! i think i will likely make it from a heavy cotton as i want it to be warm and sit drapey as to look a bit frumpy >_<
Also I did have photos for this blog but they are being weird and giving me errors so im scratching that for today >_< sorry!
As always thank you for reading and feel free to comment with any questions. v(^_^v)♪ />

Hello again! Just wanted to do a small update on some things on their way to me that im really looking forward to! currently there isnt alot, but its always so exciting either way.
first up is a gorgeous skirt by putumayo,
lace print frill skirt, from 2008 in BxW!
It will be my first piece my putumayo so I am very excited to receive this skirt.
second up, which i dont have a good picture of so i wont include one, is a Angelic Pretty Novelty Towel. Honestly this was a bit more than an impulse purchase, but no regrets! its a bright pink towel with black writing that simply states “angelic pretty” in their logo font. It will be my first ever novelty item so im excited! I think it will be very nice to have for picnics and vacations.
lastly, i have a buuuuuunnnccchhh of lace for sewing on its way! i love making headbows so i plan to make lots to sell to friends and other lolitas, wish me luck. >_<
